I bought this tawa by getting carried away with looks and brand name. Only after using it, I realized that I have made a mistake. The entire product has been cast as a single piece, which makes the handle hot too when you heat the tawa. The silicone sleeve is of no use. For all practical reason the local cast tawa with wooden handle are still the best choice. Further more it isn’t rust resistant.

Small enough for 1 or 2 eggs. a hamburger, or large patty. I use cast iron often and enjoy using this small pan occasionally. It works really well.
[...]When used correctly, Cast iron cookware is great and virtually nonstick. The heavy base allows even cooking, and my food slides off.
Make sure you season it after every use (lightly oil , heat and wipe down with a paper towel, to keep rust away, and to slowly build up the non-stick surface. Remember : You must use oil on cast Iron.

Tawa is good but silicon sleeves for handle is not upto the mark. Silicon sleeves get hot immediately.
