It is a good decision. Definitely helps in daily chores.
[...]Water is a little hard in our area. But still the washing quality is not bad at all. We still have the hardness level set to H04 that comes as a standard one.
After using for a while, we are learning to load more efficiently. We are running once a day. But sometimes we see challenge loading the cooker (5L) since it occupies some space in the lower deck.
Milk pan/tea pan we need to brush off the thought spots before loading (just brush off and no need for even rinsing)
Finally it is a good decision even though it takes 5-10min to load the vessel once.

Let’s first get this out of the way, the Bosch SMS6HVI00I is expensive! I had to track the price regularly and bought it with a combo of credit card points and offers to justify the value. We’ve now been using this for over 2 weeks and have largely been impressed by the performance. Read on to know why.
Delivery
The delivery was prompt, professional and friendly The executives placed it where requested. It is a heavy machine and needed to be handled carefully, which was complied with. The demo team from bosch reached out within 2 days and performed their role quite smoothly.
Product
The product looks professional with a metallic finished exterior. It comes with essential documentation, inlet and outlet tubing. The trays themselves feel well made and sturdy. The rollers do their job smoothly The cutlery tray (a feature we’ll talk about later) was completely plastic, but seemed well moulded and of good quality. I recommend mounting it on a stand to prevent any water seepage from damaging the machine.
Performance
In a few words: silent, effective. If you follow the basic rules of what materials are dishwasher safe, the results range from satisfactory to impressive. A few tightly placed vessels have blind spots where the water would not reach leaving a few spots (adjust how vessels are placed). Years old tea-strainers which looked permanently stained come out spotless with just a few iterations in the machine (yay!). Steel, glass and ceramic behave very well in the dishwasher. Plastic gives mixed response, while aluminum and iron are a no no. Power consumption increases but water consumption reduces.
Here are two features that make this particular model stand out:
1. The separate cutlery tray. It is spacious, well moulded and works surprisingly well even though it looked a tad far away from the spray-fan
2. The height-adjustable middle rack allows us to accommodate small to medium sized bowls, which would otherwise crowd the bottom shelf
There’s an app that lets you know the running status of the machine and also updates the firmware. We’ve been using this with dishwasher tablets (completely optional). They are expensive (we got it at Rs 20/pc) but they are very convenient to use. Results are good.
Conclusion
Our household generates a large volume of vessels and uncertainty of domestic help during covid has been tough on everyone. This is where this dishwasher steps in to help. The results have been consistent so far and I would recommend this if you looking for a solution to mid to high volume vessel cleaning.

This is one of those things that makes so much sense once you start using it and you regret not getting it earlier.
– I use it on half cycle and even then washing quality is really good and have had no complains.
– I don’t use tablets but separate salt, rinse liquid and detergent. Using finish and fortune brands for the same and performance is same as bosch branded accessories.
– You don’t need to rinse your utensils and the pressure wash takes care of the deep stains.
– Moveable middle tray allows washing taller utensils as well, as long as they don’t block the rotating jet.
Cons:
– the slots for the smaller plates are not designed and spaced correctly for our usual indian utensils. So some learning curve w.r.t how to pack right.
– Even the quickest wash takes 1.2 hours. There is no setting to just wash half a load for maybe just the lower most basket.
As long as you learn to keep the utensils properly, you will be happy with it.
