  1. Ajitm

    Horrible purchase, not suitable for borewell or tanker water as the taste of water remains as bad as tap water.

    Good product, terribly expensive. No need to import from Germany guys. You surely can do it here. But I suppose you want to be shopkeepers than manufacturers.

    =====
    This is a space saver and can be easily placed on the dining table, if you are looking for something like that or for personal use, then go for it. Do not confuse this to be your party filter, I’ll explain below. With the monsoons on, the quality of drinking water I get is just, lets say; “Undrinkable!”. I don’t usually boil the drinking water for use, except during monsoons.

    Cost to Usage Ratio
    =====
    This is how I worked it out. Keeping in mind that a 20ltr Bisleri costs about 90 bucks. A medium sized family of 4, roughly consumes 5 bottles a week. That’s 450 bucks a week for 100ltrs and that in Brita filter money roughly translates to 330 bucks per 100 ltrs of usage per 9-10 days (Each Maxtra+ filter is about 380 bucks). Cheap right?

    It narrowly comes down to one and the same, granted it’s cost efficient only if your tap water is extremely close to being Brita standard drinkable. If you are boiling water prior to using the Brita, then the cost of the Bisleri makes more sense (per week), biofuel charges for boiling included etc. It makes more sense if the usage is below 150 ltrs per month which means this is a for a solo person and not for a family. If you are looking to replace your large capacity filter with this, then don’t. This is a good to have option for bachelors, PG’s and lone warriors, but not a must have for families. If the usage is high the monthly filter change indicator does not apply if the filter has already done it’s 150ltrs in 10 days.

    I have given a 5 star rating because the quality is top notch, the purpose I got it for is being well served.

    The media could not be loaded.

    German technology cartridge so it’s reliable.. and sleek product. It’s always kept on our dinning table for water that we need to drink on daily basis so it has replaced my water bottle! Taste is also better than my RO filter.
