The media could not be loaded.
I had a lead acid water based inverter before this and it only made noise when the lights went. This genus maxlion 2400 makes fan noise 24×7 even after it has been fuly charged. Refer the video for the sound. Sound readings on my mobile show about 95 db factory level noise. I asked their support team that why the fan does not turn off when the inverter is fully charged? They said that it depends on the ambient temperature. I can assure that the ambient temperature is not too high and it is very well ventilated like you can see in the video. It almost sounds like an airplane that is ready for take off. I now need to find an alternative location for it and extra cost of wiring to that location plus ensuring that it is properly installed. On the positive side, I’ve had a good backup and don’t even know when it has switched over. Their technician is in nashik while I’m in pune. So this discussion was over the phone. I hoped someone could visit and check if this was a default behaviour or it was a bit of a faulty fan unit but from my talk with the technician it appears to be default behaviour. I’m surprised none of the positive reviews haven’t mentioned this

It took about a month for me to decide to get this lithium battery backup due to its cost. In the end I took the plunge. I was a little worried about wiring also as the videos didn’t actually show hooking it up to the wiring. But in the end it was a simple procedure, but we were a little worried just because of the cost of the unit. We called up the helpline and it took a day for them to get back to us. But they were very helpful.
Once hooked up to the electrics, it works great, it does need a good amount of space behind for airflow, when I originally put it in place the fan was working a little harder (and increased the noise), then then giving it more space at the back the fan speed and cooling was improved.
We did a test of how it might last for us and switch the mains off and it probably only used 30% of the battery after 8 hours with dan, tv, laptop and lights running on it. Pretty happy about that. Might also add some heavier loads on it later.

I have purchased 2 kva inverter, it is compact it is durable and has a good backup UPS mode is good (UPS Mode is the reason I purchased it was for my Denon AVR and 75 inch Tv which used to shut down with the previous Microtek inverter which was 1 kva) it seamlessly switches to UPS and back to mains without any disturbance watching TV.
[...]The reason for giving 4 star is the fan noise which is always on and you can hear the noise which is annoying sometimes.

I bought the MaxiLion 2400VA as a UPS for my computers, and it’s been fantastic. It’s far superior to conventional UPS units, which barely provide 5 minutes of backup. While it’s a bit more expensive than a traditional inverter, it’s absolutely worth the investment, compact design, energy-efficient, low maintenance, and its Lithium ion battery would last much longer.
The only downside is the constant noise from the fan, which runs all the time. Thankfully, I’ve placed it in a separate room, so it doesn’t bother me. However, it could definitely be annoying if you plan to keep it in the same room.
Overall, it’s a great investment and I’m very happy with the performance!
