If you are looking for a pan that makes it easy to pour hot tea or any other liquid and has a handle that stays cool, then this pan by Hawkins is an excellent choice.
I’ve been using this design for many years and bought a second one after my first finally wore out – after over 9 years of reliable use.
I’ve tried different pans, but either the handle does not stay cool, or they don’t have a spout.

I first bought the 1-liter pan in 2020, then added a 1.5-liter version later that year, and both have become kitchen staples for my mom and me—used daily for boiling water or making chai. Excellent product does the job wonderfully well. Had been using a prestige non stick sauce pan before this. But it lost all its non stick coating. Zeroed in on this after reading a lot of reviews. The reviews were spot on. This sure is a quality product. But that is to be expected from the Hawkins brand. This one has believe it or not a 5 year warranty. That alone should be a testament to the quality of the pan. Log on to hawkinscookers.com and register your product as soon as you receive the product.
The prestige sauce pan weighed less than this one. But it’s pouring tip was not aligned as a result liquid spilled while pouring. Most sauce pans seems to have this problem. Not this one. The pouring tip is just perfect. Hard to spill unless you are trying real hard. Have been using daily for more than a month, primarily for making tea. Heats up quickly and not much of a hassle cleaning. Though this is not a non stick pan use a plastic scrubber to clean. Make sure to clean thoroughly each time after use as “baked-on” food materials are very hard to clean.
I bought this for Rs 698. The MRP of the product is Rs 735. Currently it is around Rs 733. Come on amazon at least give a 5 percent discount to people. If it is less than 700 buy from amazon otherwise buy from a local store. The photos are taken after a month’s daily use.

The Hawkins Futura Hard Anodised Sauce Pan is a perfect solution for your everyday kitchen needs such as making tea. Tea is something which has to be made multiple times during the course of the day which requires a pan that can be cleaned easily, that is durable and that has a perfect spout. This sauce pan from Hawkins Futura has all the qualities that I just mentioned. The fact that I bought this pan more than a month ago and I have made countless amount of tea in it since then is a clear giveaway of the quality of this pan. In fact one of those times I even burnt the tea to charcoal but still the pan came out as new as it ever was after cleaning. I don’t think that there can be a tougher acid test to check the quality of this pan. So I give a big tick to this pan in terms of DURABILITY. The photos that I have uploaded is not of a new pan, it was clicked just before writing this review. Even the photos suggest that the look of the pan has not changed one bit despite such heavy usage. This even proves that the material of the pan is stain free and the hard anodised quality doesn’t rip off because it is an inherent quality and not a coating.
The best thing about this pan is that it gets heated up really quickly. Any other non-stick pan or a heavy duty sauce pan which show off a thick metal take a lot of time to heat up. Surprisingly, this Hawkins Futura Sauce pan despite looking extremely heavy built takes very little time to heat up. You can actually make your tea in less than 5 minutes in this pan which is what the modern generation wants.
Eventhough this pan is not credited non-stick tag but still I think it possesses qualities that are similar to a non-stick pan. When I burnt my tea in it I thought that the burnings which got stuck would never be removed. But to my amazement, the burnings could easily be removed just by washing it under the tap. This proves that the pan is very EASY TO CLEAN as well.
Last but not the least, the price of this Hawking Futura Sauce Pan with lid is quite reasonable considering the fact that it promises a really long haul in your kitchen. If you can get a reliable sauce pan for your kitchen at around ₹950 which helps you in a range of kitchen activities then it is definitely bang for one’s buck. Surely a VALUE FOR MONEY product.

Great product, but it’s too wide 7.8 inches wide, and only 3.5 inches deep. (2l)
1. Would not be useful for many things like Chai (milk tea) or anything related to milk.
2. It knocks other utensils especially on a 4 stack burner configuration, just too big.
I have a 1.5L too for a much smaller house of 2, it works there yet I found the dept to be low, the tea spills out every time. Don’t use it for tea so it works for us.
