Never buy…The non stick coating already shed as black waste. Will not recommend.

Bought this 28 cm non stick frying pan for my mother during the festive season.
[...]The non stick coating looks exceptional, the pan is made of sturdy material and has a pretty thick bottom to ensure even heat spread and consistent cooking.
It also comes with a high grade stainless steel lid that can be used easily with other 28cm tawas or pans. I wanted a glass lid but unfortunately that variant was not available anywhere.
We have used it to cook various curries, shallow fry chicken and made dosas and omlettes and so far nothing has stuck on it.
It is easy to use and has enough space to cook meals for 3-4 people. Not compatible with induction though.
Will update the review after use for a few months. As if now, it is a 4-4.5 stars out of 5.

Pros
>>really thick and moderately heavy.

>>although the pan doesn’t require seasoning, if you season it regularly with oil(rub the inside of pan with oil and wiping it off) after washing, YOU CAN COOK FOOD WITHOUT OIL.
>>food WILL get stuck at the first (even if you pour oil because the oil itself doesn’t get attached onto the pan’s surface), but it WILL COME OFF after 10-20 seconds once the side is done.

Cons
>>The size of the pan is not the standard. (SEE THE IMAGES, and comparison with another 22cm pan;camera angle is not great, there’s only approx. 1cm difference in radius between two) I got the 22 cm one assuming the lid of my 22 cm pot and pan set will fit here also, but it didnt. So I measured the radius and its more than 1cm smaller. My 22 cm lid sits on top of the pan, rather than sitting inside and closing the pan. This is a major inconvenience. So better get the pan+lid variant because I think only the lids that come with this model of pan goes with it.
>>its not deep enough for a small pan, and its not a saute pan(which has more straightened side) so doesn’t work well for stirring food even when filled half. barely 22cm skillet means that its bottom is the size of a small roti and is just enough for one chicken breast. I WOULD RECOMMEND GOING FOR THE 26CM/30CM VARIANT WITH A LID.
SUMMARY
Undoubtedly a great non stick pan for the money, except the marketing tactic of keeping it little off from the standard size.
Please read the instructions carefully before you start using it and keep following them.

This frying pan is really perfect shape wise. Frying pan is small yet big enough for all frying needs. The handle is perfect, somewhat like the OXO Good grip type it fits the palm perfectly. Height of the pan is little higher than other similar pans. It measures 2 inches in height. Looks really beautiful. But it isn’t dishwasher safe. If the pan is washed in dishwasher then the outer side colour will completely wash off. The inside non stick and the bottom underside hard anodized part washes well in dishwasher but the outer body paint will fade and wash off. I don’t know why Hawkins used such low quality paint, Prestige non stick cookwares washes perfectly in dishwasher. I have never encountered any such incident before of discolouration in dishwasher other than Hawkins. Even a very old Nirlep non stick pan washes perfect in dishwasher. I had to return this pan for this reason. I bought this pan and the 22cm round bottom deep fry kadhai together and washed that kadhai and the paint was gone. I didn’t use this as a result and returned it. It comes with a wooden spatula and a cook book and warranty card in the box. Cook book has simple breakfast recipes in it like omlette and pan fried tomatoes etc.
Overall, a great product ruined by low quality outer body paint. Not Dishwasher Safe.
