I purchased the HP 15, Intel Core Ultra 5 125H Laptop (16GB DDR5, 512GB SSD) a month ago, expecting quality from a well-known brand like HP. Unfortunately, the experience has been extremely disappointing. Here’s what went wrong:
❌ Blue screen errors started appearing during startup within a few weeks.
❌ Laptop would overheat and shut down automatically after 1–2 hours of use.
❌ After visiting the service center, I was informed that both the motherboard and hard disk need replacement – shocking for a new device! ( by the way product still with Service center for 2-3 days and they are saying still 4-5 days needed )
❌ The warranty was incorrectly showing only 9 months, even though I purchased the laptop just a month ago.
For a newly purchased laptop, these are serious issues. I expected far better quality and reliability from HP.

⭐ 1-Star Review Title: Received Used Laptop Instead of New – Worst Experience with Amazon!
I ordered an HP 15 (fd1255TU) laptop expecting a brand-new device, but what I received was a used and defective laptop with multiple serious issues:
❌ CrystalDiskInfo showed:
• Total Host Reads: 395 GB
• Writes: 357 GB
• Power-on Count: 69
This proves the laptop was already heavily used before delivery.
❌ Windows Event Logs show activity from March 23, 2025 – FOUR months before I even placed the order.
❌ User folders were created in April 2024, clearly showing the system was used before.
🔧 Issues I faced:
• Thermal shutdown / overheating
• Battery backup less than 3 hours
• Faulty charger
• Abnormal mechanical noise inside
• Keyboard button not working
• Loose trackpad
• Warranty started 4 months before delivery
🛑 HP denied service and confirmed that this unit was already activated and used. They sent an official email saying the product falls outside of support and that I should contact Amazon for replacement.
I contacted Amazon multiple times but got no help. They rejected replacement, and now I’m left with a defective product and no solution.
📢 I’ve spent 3 weeks following up with customer support. No technician visited, and no proper action was taken. Extremely disappointed and frustrated. This was a complete failure of quality check and customer service.
👉 Avoid buying expensive electronics from Amazon without proper verification. If you’re considering buying a laptop, buy it from the official brand store or trusted outlet.

Review after using 10 days
1. Dispute in warranty – received only 08 months warranty, I purchased it on July 25, but showing warranty start from mar 25,
well case raise with HP and they said it showings from manufacturing date and they will update it, i am waiting for there update,
2. Look & build quality- look and design is very good build quality is also ok, light weight
3. Speed – speed is ok but heavy work it may give some lag, illustrators, video editing, photoshop work smoothly,
4. Battery- Battery backup is not good, its discharge quickly even if you use for normal works
Except of battery all things are ok 3-4 star for device👍🏻
And for warranty, I hope HP will update it🤞🏻

Do not buy this product. It overheats excessively, and HP is being deceptive in their sales practices.
They are selling the HP Care Package on their official online store for an additional ₹4,999, which includes 2 years of extended warranty, 3 years of antivirus, and 3 years of Accidental Damage Protection.
However, if you purchase the same laptop from Amazon, HP offers the same HP Care Package at an inflated cost of ₹14,000.
The build quality is extremely poor and the product offers no value for money. The laptop’s performance is subpar, and its functionality is very disappointing. Even more concerning, the online warranty was registered three months before my actual purchase date, which is unacceptable.
Portability is also a major issue. Due to severe overheating, carrying or using the laptop for extended periods becomes impossible. Forget ease of use — the constant fear of battery damage or explosion due to overheating will always linger in your mind.
Overall, this feels like a case of “Corporate fraud” or “Institutional Cheating” or “Organized Cheating” by both Amazon and HP. They manipulate pricing by suddenly dropping the price at midnight to influence customer decisions. Customers are lured by the discount, only to be overcharged later for essential support services.
Additionally, they do not offer a “Pay on Delivery” option. So if you choose to return the product, your money will be stuck for 6–7 days, adding further inconvenience.
