picture magnification quality is good for the price point. However, the stand is not really useful, since you cannot move the scope vertically when trying to focus. installation on windows 11 pc was a breeze – just install HiView app from microsoft store.

I’m really happy with this little usb microscope. The 2k resolution is a vast improvement over the regular 640×480 resolution you get and the magnification is more than enough for most purposes. I also like the focal distance, it’s a bit further than my other microscope making it easier to handle. The built-in leds are powerful enough for a clear image and have 3 light intensities. In short this is a great value all around usb microscope to own.
Tip: try holding the microscope with the zoom dial down for easier orientation. Also download the free exploview app and record video in 2k mode (mp4 best quality), slightly adapting the zoom dial while filming and extract pictures later from the video using screencapture or mpc-hc! It’s way easier getting the right shot this way than trying to capture everything with a snapshot.

Acheté il y’a quelques jours, l’expérience d’utilisation de ce petit microscope (ou plutôt très grosse loupe) est vraiment bonne.
Très facile d’utilisation (Plug & Play) à la fois sur PC et sur mon Smartphone, il a l’air relativement robuste. L’éclairage des 8 leds est vraiment efficace et pour ce prix il permet de voir de vrai petits détails. La qualité de l’image est bonne mais n’est pas du 2k je pense, uniquement du 720p néanmoins cela suffit en observation directe ! Pour les photos les rendus sont correct sans être spectaculaires, mais à ce prix on ne peut pas trop en demander non plus :)
Si vous êtes juste curieux ou passionné d’insectes, de pièces de monnaies ou autres petites choses je vous le conseil sans hésiter pour ce budget !

I am absolutely amazed that you can get a sensor and optics of this quality in such an affordable microscope. I’ve been having an absolute blast with my daughter looking for things around the house and the garden to look at under this microscope.
It’s not really 1000X magnification. On my 32″ monitor the 100 micron circle (see attached image) is about 2 centimetres which would make it 200X zoom. You’re not going to be able to examine bacteria with this but it still has plenty of magnification to see a lot of interesting things such as larger microbes in dirty water.
I do, however, have a couple of small complaints.
The included stand is terrible. It’s difficult to adjust, not very stable and tips over easily because the base is so small. This makes the microscope quite difficult to use at maximum magnification as you really need to nail the focal-distance and zoom to get your subject in focus. A work around for this is to hand-hold the microscope and rest the clear plastic lens hood over your subject to fix the focal distance before focusing with the zoom wheel. The only works for subjects which completely fit inside the lens hood and on flat surfaces.
The built in LED lights work very well and are sufficiently bright. However, the direct “ring light” source can lead to somewhat flat and boring images. If you cast a light from the side instead you can get more interesting shadows and better contrast on some subjects.
Happily, Jiusion also make a stand that solves both these issues. It’s stable, has a fine adjustment knob and event has built in adjustable LED’s. You can absolutely have a lot of fun with this microscope alone but I found that the additional stand opened up even more possibilities.

Was very impressed with the lower resolution microscope and my only complaint on that one was I wished for a higher resolution and a better stand. When the HD version was available, I just had to give it a try. Had a bit of trouble initially getting it set up due to conflicting drivers but tech support from Jiusion was very knowledgeable and responsive.
There are a few differences in the microscopes beyond the increased resolution. The lower resolution version was black in color, 640×480 resolution, had a zoom and snap button with an adjustable thumbwheel on the cord that lets you change the intensity of the light. The higher resolution was deep navy blue in color, 1920×1080 resolution, had a light intensity and snap button. On both versions, there is a thumbwheel on the base of the microscope used to focus and zoom in but I preferred having the zoom button and thumbwheel for light intensity as the button on the HD model only provides 3 options for intensity versus more flexibility on the lower resolution model.
The quality was great and sharp and could very clearly see images albeit slightly smaller and darker than the lower resolution model. Initially tried setting up on an android phone but couldn’t because the provided USB-C adapter didn’t fit on my phone as the case was in the way. Wound up using it on a PC with the xploview software which made taking pictures and video extremely easy.
Would recommend buying the HD version to anyone who needs any magnification capabilities for small objects. Its very reasonably priced, easy to use and support is great if you have any problems. Only recommendation to the manufacturer would be to bring back the zoom button and put some more weight in the included stand so it doesn’t move or tip over. Overall a very worthwhile purchase.
