First thing, this is just a mesh/jaali in the inlet path with nothing else. After reading the existing reviews if you like me buy it you assume it’s a fake product. I did buy another bestseller with “softener” feature before but it got full of fungus and the quality of the “softener” was questionable(likely just alum shaped into balls). So, what I needed was something simple, if I need a softener I can put is separately in the drum or in this product’s casing.
[...]Reality of filtering water is that it’s expensive if not done in volume, and nothing short of the pre-filter you get in drinking water will do. Install that if you can.
Assuming the drinking water-purifier pre-filter is not an option for you, this is a cheap and rudimentary filter which hopefully does help you save from really dirty water when your apartment gets tanker water etc.
I’m not expecting a lot, you shouldn’t either, yet worth considering and buying.
I think if the water is stagnant fungus will develop, good part in this is the installation is vertical, hopefully less worse than the horizontally mounted ones. I will update the review on the fungus situation after some use.
Last, the effort on the package to make it look like its from LG is commendable. You won’t find anywhere on the LG website a mention of the part number provided on the cover. The screws are two of one kind other two of another kind – many other such giveaway fake certificates. This much effort if spent on creating a good product and a new brand would’ve served the makers better, but here we are in the world of jugaad and business who don’t care about engineering or finesse.

This is basic thing which is not available before but now it’s available , it increases the life of suction part of automatic machines as well dust and rust or small metal parts are stopped by this filter must recommend thing to increase life of machine

Product was good but saler has a problem to deliver single pc if he not abale to delivery single pc mention in the product description. First time he gave excuse product was damage the I complain to Amazon then he delivered second time.
