My last keyboard, which was a old, boring HP board, was dying on me and I needed a new keyboard fast. The only problem was I hardly had any money to spend, barley being able to pay bills and all. I wanted a good quality gaming keyboard on the cheap, which I knew was asking for a lot. So I did some research and found this one. I already liked Logitech G as a gaming brand so I was curious as to how this would be when I actually got it.
Well, I was very surprised! I’ve had this for a while now and I love it so much. Having the back-lit keys is very nice when working or gaming the dark, and being able to customize the colors and lighting effects is a nice added bonus. I love that the keyboard has multiple profiles so you can customize it for games or programs. The keys have a smooth, almost velvety feel to them, and the entire keyboard is a aesthetically pleasing matte black. I love the small details, like the braided USB cable.
The size was a little smaller than my last one, but it takes up less space on my desk. It took a little getting used too because the keys are taller (they are not mechanical keys, but have the same look, feel, and sound as one) and closer together than I was used too. The only real issue I have with it so far is the media keys don’t seem to work with Spotify. It’s not a big deal, and definitely not a deal breaker as I’ve never had media keys on a keyboard before, but it would be nice if it worked.
My conclusion would be that if you want a good quality, well built gaming keyboard, or just a keyboard in general, but don’t have a lot of money to spend, get this. You’ll be glad you did.

I bought this 8 years ago and I’m a hardcore gamer, it went through tough use a lot!! After 8 years of almost daily usage it’s keys are now dying, LShift and X are dead. Just ordered Blackwidow V3 TKL to replace this since it’s the same price plus I already have Razer Basilisk V3. All I want to say about G213 is, it’s membrane keyboard, a little dull lights actually, but it’s built like a tank to last you at least 5 years i recommend this if its 3k but not more than that. When I bought it 8years ago it was 5k. Thank you Logitech but I’m afraid I must move on now.

can’t be beat for the price. it’s more sturdy than the $300 corsair i bought that lasted less than a year. i knew it wasn’t individualy programmable leds going into it but really i need it more for seeing the keys in the dark than i do for making pretty colors so that didn’t bother me. the keys feel nice… like an old fashion Microsoft keyboard. the LEDs are a little dimmer than the corsair but actually it’s less distracting. the colors are nice. the only pain in the butt was figuring out how to program macros on the F keys. but once it clicked it was also easier than the corsair. i don’t game so i can’t comment on that aspect. i would buy this again.

Comfortable to use.
The wrist support doesn’t interfere with typing.
Keys are sloped inwards to fit the natural angle your fingers touch them at.
The lights can be switched off with a dedicated key.
The cable is durable.
The friction pads do their job well.
The stands detach before they can break.
One small problem: it is a membrane keyboard on the inside, so it suffers the problem of the two layers of conductive surfaces not making contact sometimes.
Hence, at random, some keys will require extra force to register a press. To fix this, you will have to open the keyboard and clean the contacts of the key that is malfunctioning.
I’ve had this happen on T, H and G so far. It is an uncommon issue, but an easy fix.
