This is an excellent Purchase for me! Highly accurate weight measurements with precision and good repeatability! The build is sleek and sturdy, the LED display is bright and easy on eyes. The App support is also nice. However I am not sure about the other data regarding the body composition as I have not compared with some reference. However the stepping area should have been a little bigger for my preference, or it is a bit too compact for me!

First of all, let me preface this by saying the scale is pretty accurate for everyone under 100kg. Over 100kg it can be inaccurate by 500g-1kg. The bluetooth app connectivity is great, it also syncs to Samsung Health and Google Fit so you don’t need to manually input your weight in those apps over and over. The scale is sturdy, has rubber bottom so unlike others it won’t skid when you step on it. Above all it looks classy, elegant and very stylish and the display is very clear. It displays weight up to one decimal point only.

Now, that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s talk about the accuracy and other body related features that the scale claims to measure. Like I said, the weight measurement is pretty accurate for anyone under 100kg. I’ve compared it with several scales, one at my home, one at my gym, one at the gym my brother goes to and one at a doctor’s clinic and it seems to be very good at measuring weights. But, the problem lies in measuring body content like body fat, water content and muscle mass. In this regard, the scale offers you to select athletic mode. What this athletic mode does is it tells the scale that a great portion of your weight is muscle mass. So, an obese person can fool the scale into thinking that their body fat is in the healthy range if they choose athletic mode before taking a measurement. The company claims that the athletic mode is for anyone going to the gym more than 3 times a week, but that is not how it works. It’s clearly only for people who do at least 2 hours of weight training per day and have a resting heart rate of 65bpm or lower. So, for average people who are using this scale to track weight loss, turn off the athletic mode. It is NOT for you.

Coming to the measurements themselves, it doesn’t track body water very well. I would say that the fat percentage tracked with athletic mode off is still pretty close to the accurate thing for most people. I actually managed my fat percentage with other methods too and found that average people who go to gym to keep fit/lose weight should NOT turn the athletic mode on. It tracks bone density pretty well but protein content measurement is a bit iffy and not reliable. BMI measurement is good enough.

To sum it up, I would suggest you turn off the athletic mode if you’re not a heavy lifter or marathon runner, this is not for average people who wish to track their weight loss. For the rest of the purposes the scale would suffice. I’d advise you to not take every measurement literally, even your weight fluctuates by 4-5 kg per day depending on your genetics and diet. Use the scale parameters as a reference point only and track your progress accordingly.
