Full unit frame and base is made out of plastic.. Even the bulb holder / socket is plastic, which can certainly be a quality issue after a couple of bulb replacements.
Such products, which is wall mounted, could have had a better quality bulb holder..

Serves purpose. Brightness is dimmed by glass. Needs >60 watts equivalent bulb.

The product is a bit small for a living room; looks odd when installed where we have a wall that’s quite average (about 14ft wall) – but perfect for small study. The parts are all plastic (including the B22 socket). Installation was mostly smooth, except for the last part where the whole unit has to be screwed to the holder plate – one side of the hole was not aligned well and it was extremely difficult and I recommend not to try DIY with this.
