Pigeon iron flat tawa on the heavier side ..so it’s of good quality cast iron n size is perfect for making an omlette or roasting spices….It comes pre-seasoning.. so you can use immediately..best for making dosas, parathas and tikkis… the taste from cooking in cast iron is heavenly.. Reminds me of village cooking…Guys, everyone must buy one tawa !! ….Pigeon is a trusted brand, so don’t hesitate to buy.. really good quality with affordable pricing.

Tawa is heavy since its cast iron but cooking surface looks like nonstick but when you feel it, its cast iron surface, very impressed and red colour rubber sleve is provided in box as its full cast iron and handle will turn hot I guess

I bought the product a month May 2024 ago. Dosa came out very well, but after 5-6times of usage of the product the tawa get a crack and not further useable. If this issue is solved or no crack in future, I will definitely recommend this tawa. Unfortunately it got a crack, so not recommended!…..

After few uses only I noticed the pre seasoning is coming off and can see grey surface beneath. I have got cast iron pan from Meyers too but that’s quite sturdy. I am seasoning it how am supposed to but few grey patches can be seen. Its working fine though the non stick part. However heat distribution isn’t even I felt.

Happy with this Pigeon’s cast iron tawa… it’s very good quality…worth the price.. you can enjoy the real taste of traditional cooking … just like how our grandmothers used to cook…. and the smell of food is just amazing….Many people complaining about you can’t cook egg in cast iron 🙄But i cook everyday …it’s so tasty and creamy in the center and crisp on the outside. Vegetables and meat roasted on cast iron tawa taste so delicious too.. Must buy product…especially if you are looking for traditional taste.!!!
