It would be good to know if you are suppose to have the Vizio Television turned ON before you start THIS universal remote, as it doesNOT tell you in their little amount of directions on the piece of paper that comes with the remote.
If this remote’s ( piece of paper), called directions, would of showed what every single button is suppose to do I might of kept it, but NO, I will be returning it.
Of course as in all other remotes I have owned, I went directly to the battery compartment put in the batteries and pushed power button on this universal remote well NO

Well no it doesn’t! not on this remote anyway So I did A1. instruction then A.2) and Remote still not working on my Vizio television thst has the HDMI 1 hook up to our CABLE device and our HDMI 2 hook up to our FireTV streaming device.
But on instruction A.3) it says to check the function of the REMOTE !
What remote are they talking about , is it their REMOTE or my VIZIO television remote or my cable tv remote or my Fire TV remote ??????
This company wherever it is from does not give directions so that someone who knows Nothing about remotes other than turning them on knows what they mean by check the FUNCTION of the REMOTE!
Direction need to be very very specific and BIT generalized . from #3 direction on I donot know of I am suppose to go on and do B. C.D. or what .
They should of said if A. directions donot work do B.
If B directions doNot work do C, If C. doesn’t work do D.
And I canNOT ask them directly because Amazon artificial intelligence tries to answer pre conceived questions which mine was NOT so I need to talk to the company customer service but CANNOT because there is NO listing for them not an email address or phone number , Nothing!

Fire TV is working properly, but normal TV functions are not working with the remote. The back side of the remote shows a support number, but no one responds when called. No resolution or support is provided.

I bought this compatible remote for my Fire TV Stick after the original one (from the box) stopped working. I wasn’t expecting much since it wasn’t an official replacement, but to my surprise, this remote exceeded my expectations.
Firstly, it works perfectly right out of the box — no pairing issues or lag. Secondly, my old remote was a 1st Gen model without volume controls or shortcut buttons. This new one not only includes volume control for the TV but also has dedicated shortcut keys for OTT platforms, which makes navigation so much faster and more convenient.
Build quality feels solid, buttons are responsive, and the overall experience is smoother than I had with the older remote. Definitely a worthy upgrade if you’re using an older Fire TV remote or need a replacement.

Works perfectly – no setup or ‘coding’ required. Don’t miss the alphanumeric buttons on the back surface, seldom if ever used them anyway, although some might feel the loss. They do work on the old original remote, so I’m keeping it just in case. On the negative side, the plastic housing feels a little flimsy, and I had (and have) trouble getting the battery cover off. It certainly doesn’t slide off as easily as the enclosed instructions imply. Had to use the blade of a knife to get it started. Overall I’m quite satisfied.

Worked perfectly out of the package with my older Vizio TV. Mine is a 3-D TV. And works all the controls right out of the package., nice. Set up on a remote is exactly the same as what I have already.

The quality of plastic is average. Original remote had good quality plastic. One button is not working properly. I wanted it to exchange but I may be deprived of watching TV for sometime. So I am continuing with it.

Very solid product. it didn’t require me to do any special setting. Just clicked on the home button for about 15-20 sec till it started blinking continuosly. After the blinking stopped the remote started to work without any hassle

This universal remote is less “remote” and more “handheld weapon of mass channel-changing.” It’s so solid I dropped it on my foot and had to sit down. The remote’s fine. My dignity? Less so.
Feels like it was forged in the same factory that made 90s Magnavox TVs and unbreakable childhood memories. You don’t hold it — you wield it.
It controls everything: TV, soundbar, streaming box, possibly the weather (jury’s still out). Setup was easy — I just pointed it and the devices surrendered.
My toddler threw it down the stairs. It left a dent. In the stairs.
Highly recommend if you want a remote that doubles as a paperweight, self-defense tool, and subtle reminder that some things are still built to last.
