   I’m giving this convertible inverter refrigerator 1 star, not because it’s not cooling properly, but because of the numerous misleading features that are advertised but don’t actually exist.

   Here are the issues I’ve encountered:

   *Misleading Convertible Feature*: The term “convertible” implies flexibility, but in reality, it’s just a fixed design with no option to adjust the storage capacity or convert the freezer into a fridge.

   #No Auto Cut or Power Off Option: There is no auto cut or power off option for either the fridge or ice section. The ice section is always on, which increases energy consumption.
   *The electric consumption is drastically increased for us.
   #No Adjustable Temperature for Ice Section: The ice section has a fixed starting point of -15°C, with no option to adjust the temperature to 0°C, -1°C, -2°C, etc.

   #Misleading Inverter Technology: The “inverter” technology is advertised as energy-efficient, but in reality, it’s just a marketing gimmick. The refrigerator’s electric consumption is much higher than expected.

   Lack of Transparency: The manufacturer’s advertising is misleading, and the product’s features are not as described.

   Despite these issues, the refrigerator is cooling properly, and I haven’t experienced any frost issues. However, the lack of transparency and misleading advertising is unacceptable, which is why I’m giving it 1 star.

   If you’re looking for a refrigerator with accurate advertising and efficient energy consumption, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
   I can update my rating if get a satisfactory answer of each concern.

   I am writing this detailed review exactly after one week of usage. My review is based on how this refrigerator fairs on the most sought after features, ease of daily usage and practicality. Then, I’ll give my opinion about the technical stuff.

   AMPLE STORAGE SPACE FOR ALL KINDS OF FOOD ITEMS:
   The fridge compartment has 4 shelves on the door side.
   The first shelf is the largest and is a dedicated space to store bottles of all shapes and sizes. 2 litre bottles can also be easily accommodated.
   The second shelf has the same width as the first one but the gap between both of them is very less.
   The third shelf is entirely designed to store eggs. This would be better suited for people/families who like to keep large stocks of eggs at home. However, the shelf doesn’t have very deep rounded cutouts to hold eggs in position. So care must be taken while opening/closing the door. This also means that this shelf can easily be used to store other kinds of items as well.
   The fourth shelf is quite small, its width being less than half of the other three shelves. However it is an added bonus as most of the other refrigerator brands shy away from providing a shelf in the bottom-most part of the door.
   Similarly, the main fridge compartment also has 4 shelves.
   The fourth one doubles up as a lid to the vegetable box.
   The first shelf can be used to store fruits. It has a separate lid that helps in maintaining freshness and prevents odor mixing.
   The second shelf has a sliding functionality which makes accessibility easier. The gaps between all the shelves are adequate and no adjustment would be need in day-to-day usage.
   The third shelf is where the deodorizing filter is placed.
   The vegetable box has quite a decent storage space. However, the depth is more compare to the width. This poses a problem in accessibility, especially when the box is fully loaded. Vegetables stored in the bottom part become difficult to access. Also, certain nooks and corners of the box are harder to access and difficult to clean. One more problem is that the door should be fully opened if you want to completely take out the vegetable box. The shelf in the bottom part of the door acts as an obstacle. Also, putting back the box in its place is a task in itself. The box should be held in a certain angle and position before sliding it inside otherwise it won’t even slide a bit. I think Samsung should consider redesigning this box.

   Coming to the freezer compartment, it has two shelves on the door side and two in the main compartment. Storage space is fine. However, it would be great if the freezer compartment had a dedicated quick-freeze box.
   The moveable ice-box is quite innovative – both the trays can be rotated at the same time using a single lever.

   EASY DOOR OPENING/CLOSING OPERATION: Both doors can be easily opened/closed. The hinges are hidden and are smooth. Although the doors aren’t designed to close automatically when kept open till an angle (which sometimes becomes useful when both your hands are full), it is still better as it prevents it closing with a ‘thud’ that can sometimes displace fragile items or cause spillage of liquid items.

   BRIGHT LED LIGHT: It is literally in the front-top part of the fridge compartment and compared to conventional lighting, it saves a decent amount of space in the main compartment. It is very bright and lightens up every nook and corner of the compartment. However, there is no lighting in the freezer compartment.

   DIGITAL DISPLAY IN THE FREEZER DOOR: The temperature controls of both the fridge and freezer compartment are present in the front and can be easily adjusted by the press of a button. This is a welcome feature as it becomes easy to adjust temperatures especially when the refrigerator is loaded and the conventional knobs get hidden behind. Also, the Power Freeze & Power Cool functions can also be activated from here. The button to use the convertible feature is also present here.

   EXTRA BROWNIE POINTS FOR THESE:
   – The shelves in the main fridge compartment, although made of toughened glass, have a hard-plastic covering from three sides. This becomes beneficial especially while cleaning, when accidental droppings don’t lead to breaking of the shelves. Same goes for the vegetable box also, where the bottom-back portion has this plastic covering. These coverings make them durable and give them long life.
   – The refrigerator, although weighing 55 kgs is relatively easy to move/manoeuvre. All the four legs are made of soft but sturdy plastic that causes very less friction with the floor. This proves beneficial in case of occasional cleaning of the floor beneath the refrigerator.
   – Although this refrigerator has much less vents and holes for cooling than my older refrigerator, I found the cooling to be more uniform and all-round. This adds up in the minimalist design and overall subtle appearance of the inside body which I quite liked.
   – The fact that this refrigerator can run on home inverter without hogging much power makes it very appealing for those people living in areas where power failures are common.
   – The refrigerator works fine without a stabilizer but it is recommended to use it with one if there are frequent power fluctuations in your area.

   FINALLY, COMING TO THE TECHNICAL STUFF:
   The digital inverter compressor in this refrigerator stands true to its notion – “less noise, greater efficiency”. Overall operation is very silent in normal conditions. However, you will certainly start hearing noises in certain scenarios: if you open/close the door very frequently or keep it open for a long period of time, if you use the Power Freeze and Power Cool functions (which essentially makes the compressor operate in full capacity for a few hours), if you stock up your week long essentials and perishables all of a sudden or if there has been a power cut for a very long period of time. Thankfully, this noise is not discernible and won’t kind of catch your attention. You will only notice it if you are standing beside it, walk past it or if decibel levels inside your home is very low. However, air flow change and heat exchange noises, though not a regular phenomena, are clearly audible.

   Lastly, this refrigerator truly does its job very well and holds up the brand value of Samsung.

   Samsung doesn’t disappoint . Function, cooling and storage capacity is more than enough for a medium size family. Lock and light in freezer is not available. Otherwise it’s best in its range . The electricity consumption is very minimal.

   If you’re hunting for a double door fridge that lasts long (assuming you treat it well — 😂), this one’s a solid pick. Decent space fits most kitchen storage needs, and the convertible feature is a game changer — freezer to fridge and vice versa depending on what you need.

   It’s clearly designed with families of 4 to 6 in mind, and it doesn’t disappoint. The Luxe Black finish? Chef’s kiss. It looks premium and modern, and fits right into your kitchen like it owns the place.

   Mine was delivered smoothly with zero dents or scratches, which is honestly rare these days.
   It’s got a 3 Star energy rating, and at ₹28,450 — it’s one of the best in the segment, especially from a trusted brand like Samsung.

   If your fridge has seen better days, just go for this one. No regrets.
