Background:I don’t usually write long reviews for products purchased online. In other words, i am normally satisfied with decent value for money for the items/services purchased. But this particular buying experience has forced me into writing this just so that it may help save someone else’s time and money.
Experience: i had ordered this sleepyhead sofabed on 19th Oct. the expected delivery date was 30th Oct. the delivery delayed by 9 days and finally on 8th Nov i came home after office to see this huge package with all damaged corners lying at my front door. No one contacted regarding delivery, no otp was shared.
I received a message from some random number asking for photos of the package. They introduced themselves as the logistics partner for this order. I shared the pictures of damaged package. Then they asked me to contact sleephead to raise complaint for damaged package. Since then i had been trying to reach sleepyhead through their customer service number and through amazon platform regarding two issues. 1. Damaged package, 2. Installation services. They asked me to wait for 2 days every time I contacted them. Stalling through days they asked me time till 20th Nov, then 24th Nov. I had to wait for 16 days to get this sofabed installed. The package was lying in my room taking up all the space all this time. The description says installation services provided within 48hrs of delivery.
Talking to sleepyhead agents was a real headache. Incompetent people making statements like “we are not responsible for installation, our logistics partner is”. I had to deal with all these different parties, ie, amazon, sleepyhead, logistics partner to get this thing installed. The issue of damaged package and exposed corners of the product during delivery is still not addressed.
It was a real pathetic experience.

Sofa delivered on time but a little problem with sturdiness of product. But quality and color both look so good. Hopefully once we use it it will be better

Positives
1. Unique Convertible Design: The sofa bed’s foldable design is innovative and seamlessly converts between a sofa and a bed, making it highly practical for limited spaces.
2. Good Fabric Quality: The fabric feels premium and has remained durable over the years. Even with frequent use, the material hasn’t worn out.
3. Comfortable for Sitting and Sleeping: In sofa mode, it’s great for seating, and in bed mode, it provides good comfort for sleeping.
4. Durable Build: Despite heavy usage, especially with kids around, the bed material has held up exceptionally well over time.
Negatives
• No Base Panel: I bought it without the base panel, which I now realize is a must-have. Sitting on the floor and then standing up can be inconvenient, especially for adults.
• Cover Maintenance: The fabric cover tends to get dirty over time, especially in households with kids. While dry cleaning helps to some extent, replacing the cover becomes necessary, and unfortunately, replacement covers are not available even on Sleepyheadz’s website.
Suggestions for Improvement
A replacement cover option would be a valuable addition, as it would extend the usability and appearance of the product for long-term users.
Overall Verdict
This sofa bed is an excellent choice for its durability, comfort, and space-saving design. However, I recommend purchasing it with the base panel for better usability. Despite the challenges with cover maintenance, it remains a worthy investment for those needing a dual-purpose piece of furniture.
