Product has good build quality compared to all the available competition in the market for smart switches. Only real competition against Smarteefi is sonoff switches which comes with better build quality. Sonoff switches has native support for home assistant so they are one step better for automation also.
On the feature side, Smarteefi checks most of the expected features, you can add schedules, works offline after one time setup, good build quality so that its much safer than other Indian made smart devices when it comes to fire hazard and electric shocks and short circuits.
Smartphone notification issue:
They have this constant and non configurable notification whenever the switch is turned on or off. This is a novelty for first day and quickly becomes an annoyance. Imagine you get notification on your phone whenever someone in your house turns on/off a bathroom heater or an attic light or when gate light is turned off in the morning by scheduler. It gets irritating very quickly. App do not have native support for turning off notifications or choosing whether you want only specific notifications. You need to disable notification permission for the app in the android’s app settings which disables entire notifications altogether. There is no separate notification channel for automated and manual events.
No smart home integrations:
[...]You cannot directly integrate the switch in home assistant for automating based on other sensors like presence sensor or weather forecast. it supports smart assistants like google assistant and alexa, but they are very novel and limited in what can be done. A proper home automation integration would have made this product at par with sonoff products.

Nice product, easy to install and operate, it’s been 5 months and device is working absolutely fine. Customer support is great 👍.
One issue I faced was continuous toggle of one of the port, however with help of customer support team the issue was resolved. But the solution was to enable manual lock on the switch. To me it looks like device issue and there was no loose connection.

I recently purchased this retro fit smart node,Very easy to use the set up process is extremely easy only one thing the app is bit clunky other than that it works really well no complaints does what is advertised it’s surprisingly extremely small so no issues with fitting in the electric box.

Fantastic product. Feature rich. Can do pretty whatever you can think of. For geyser, AC etc, countdown timer is very useful. So is loop timer and scheduler. Using it to automatically switch on / off geyser on the morning so that we have hot water when we wake up. That’s gives me extra time to sleep.
I struggled a bit with setup as I was trying to configure it by giving just phase and neutral without completing the actual wiring. That doesn’t work. To get into setup mode, you need to do the full wiring. Once I figured that out, setup was easy. I hope it is reliable and works for a long time.
