Of course excel is Best for its effectiveness,but the price is too high. So the 3 star.I have used surf excel, Ariel magic, rin matic, henko matic, all work good n great,f finally I did on Amway,was indeed best among all
I did an survey of each detergent here are the pro’s & cons of each I used

Pros:

# for full load 1 & half spoon works well,spoon provided in the surf packet itself

# for tougher stains, pre treatment is essential
# pre soaking is necessary to remove more soiled cloths

# price is 700, but it come up too 3 or 4 months,so average is around per month so price is better than rest of the detergent

Why I liked this so much?? Well Surf Excel Matic Need No introduction as it a very familiar brand to all …Some Points Are as below..
1. Its quality of washing the clothes whether they are of cotton, wool or any synthetic mix is very good. One need not to rub the clothes by hands as it cleans them very nicely.
2. It is specially made for Machine Usage as regular detergents can harm our machines by getting deposited below the wash wheel Surf Excel is great in this aspect also as you will never find any deposits of it whenever you clean your Washing machine Thoroughly.
3. Its doesn’t damages the cloth at all. Really happy to use this product.
4. Also it doesn’t require to put alot of surf quantity As A single cup is enough for 12-15 clothes.

Final Verdict is that it is a very good quality surf to be used in washing machine. A must buy for everyone. Specially from Amazon it is available at very good discounted price.

> True it has molecules has especial formulae of low lather without affecting cleaning power or yield.

> All actions inside the machine is determined by the washing machine model. How possibly the washing powder going to give a handrub action. Its true it has some rough and flaky particles for scrubbing but they are going to dissolve in minutes.
3. Dissolves completely leaving No residue on your cloths or in your machine
> True about cloths but machine manufacturer still recommend to use anti clog powders such as scalegon from whirlpool.
4. Recommended by leading washing machine manufacturers.

1. Brilliant stain removal in one wash
> I found it lightens the stains but doesn’t totally cleans it as they are advertising aggressively. Yes my machine has a Stain Removal function but then it will take 3 scoops and run for 2 hours. I am sure that’s not what Ariel claims.
2. Deep down cleaning & long lasting freshness.

3. Removes though stains like coffee ketchup & gravy
> Big claims and although I didn’t find its working as claimed, but sure its better comparatively.
4. Based on lab test better stain removal than premium front load matic detergent. I guess here they didn’t name “surf matic”

( price may vary but point is surf matic is way cheaper)
2. Surf matic is focused on dissolving and forming low lather where Ariel matic’s main focus is stubborn stain removing.
3. If you use Ariel matic better make a solution mix first and then pour into machine as I have found white powder stains on my black jeans.
Pick
Ariel and Surf both matic powders are equally good and better than any other washing powder in India. You have to think about your budget as well as your requirement. If your main concern is removing stains then use Ariel matic otherwise stick to Surf Matic which is sufficient for daily wash and normal stains.
