What a product by TPlink. Really outstanding quality as i am using this for more than 6 month, it takes showers and sun heat regularly but still steady and in good condition. Installation is quite easy, anyone can do it itself. Need a broadband connection modem or router and after small steps it successfully connected. The pan and tilt feature is very much handful and it functioned it so well. Audio quality is loud enough for the visitors near and their audio is also clear. For home or outdoor security it is the best outdoor camera to have.

I bought TP-Link Tapo C500 Outdoor Pan/Tilt Home Security WiFi Smart Camera in February 2024, Sold By: Appario Retail Private Ltd. My reviews are based on the continuous usage of this security camera thoroughly at my home for a year till now.
Pros.
DETECTION

Cons.
So far, there are no major drawbacks with this camera, just a few minor issues.
1. After prolonged live streaming, the camera may occasionally stop streaming live, although it continues recording in the background. Once you reboot the camera, the live streaming resumes.
2. Another tiny issue I’ve encountered is with the camera’s rotation. When there’s movement directly beneath it, the camera sometimes fails to fully track and rotate to follow the object as needed.
3. NO NIGHT VISION
This feature is available in C510W TP-Link 2K 3MP model, with 3 different mode; Infrared mode, full colour mode, smart mode (switch from infrared to full colour mode when detect any activity).
4. NO SPOTLIGHT
This feature is available in C510W TP-Link 2K 3MP model.
However, these are some small issues, and overall, the camera’s features are excellent.

Pra quem usava uma xing ling de 100 reais da Shopee, essa daqui é uma divindade. Campo de visão amplo, cores boas, aproveitei e comprei um repetir descente tb da TPLink e não tive problemas ainda, sempre muito rápida a conexão ao abrir o app e mover a câmera. A câmera noturna achei muito boa, se passar mt rápido pode ser que não veja tão bem, mas da para ver feições que se for necessário caçar a pessoa pode ajudar uns 80%, comparada a anterior minha, 200% melhor nesse quesito. Instalação bem rápida, o problema que achei foi a troca de Wifi, o meu repetidor chegou depois e tive que trocar o Wifi cadastrado, ai tu tem que subir na escada, tirar a tampinha da camera, tirar parafuso, para ai conseguir reiniciar ela e recadastrar, acho que o app poderia ter alguma forma mais fácil de fazer isso, pq se for um idoso ou muito trampo de mexer na câmera, é um pé no saco mesmo.
[...]Outro contra é o app do computador, no meu caso Windows, achei bem ruim, a câmera perde a qualidade no pc, horrivel a conexao para se mover, a xingling eram bemmm melhor nesse quesito. Para quem tiver dificuldade em achar um app, uso o iSpy v7.2.6.0 . Muito ruim, inacreditável uma empresa nao fazer um app simples para conectar, mover, qualidade de video igual ao do celular, mas ok, faz parte. O app no celular é muito bom, notifica mais do que eu acho necessário, bem sensível, mas muito boa a qualidade e manuseio, única coisa que peca é realmente a troca do Wifi como disse.
Som bom, microsd bem fácil de colocar e armazena certinho.
Outra coisa legal do app do celular é os modos que aparecem no print da última foto, vc salva os modos que quer pré-ajustado e quando clica mt rapidamente já vai para a posição, curti muito, a chinesa tinha isso mas o app coloca logo de cara e é muito mais rápido, rapidasso mesmo. Curti muito.
Se a Amazon colocar a venda a de 2k em uns 600 por ai eu iria preferir. Mas pagar 400 reais nessa daqui não acho ruim não, acho bem bom o custo beneficio, eu compraria novamente, mas vou aguardar a de 2k. Acho que em segurança não devemos economizar.

Ho installato due telecamere C500 sui due lati liberi di casa mia e le attivo soltanto quando siamo lontani da casa. Con queste telecamere ricevo prontamente un segale sul mio cellulare ogni volta che rilevano un movimento di una intensità minima da me preimpostata. In ogni momento trami l’app sul cellulare posso vedere a distanza cosa sta succedendo fuori casa e posso anche parlare ed ascoltare in vivavoce con hi sta davanti alla telecamera. Inoltre è possibile anche da remoto far girare la telecamera sugli assi verticale ed orizzontale per visualizzare gli elementi non inquadrati. Le immagini sono di buona qualità con colori fedeli al reale e una buona definizione. In condizioni di assenza di luce, la telecamera attiva un emettitore ad infrarossi, non visibile all’occhio umano, che consente di vedere la scena inquadrata anche al buio totale. In questo caso però le immagini sono in bianco e nero. Prodotto affidabile ed efficace.

I am using this camera since last month and writing this review. If you have good wifi then go for it. If there are walls, then the wifi router and camera distance should be 10–15 feet max. If connectivity is good, then you can handle this camera smoothly.

Cons:
No, internal memory. If camera gets rebooted due to power failure or any other reason, the camera will set to default position (which you cannot set). The camera required internet access to download all the settings from the cloud when rebooted. This one thing fails when it is most needed.
When you stream using an app, the camera and app require an internet connection. It won’t stream only via WiFi; I don’t know why they stream via the cloud when the camera and app are connected to the same network.
The app must save all the settings inside camera memory, and it should be able to set one single default position. So whenever it gets rebooted, it will work without requiring the internet.

This is an outdoor 360 motion camera with good detection range and controls. Unfortunately it tends to disconnect inexplicably very often although a TP link Tapo mesh is used for WiFi and has a good 4 bars signal. To remedy used Remove command on App so as to re – install. Since then has refused to connect even after 2 dozen attempts and reset. Contact Service message on App gets no response. So guess in such a situation one has to throw Tapo C500 into a dustbin.
