Incredible device and software from TP Link.
I needed a device that can measure the relative humidity in my house to check for the himumidty levels in various places of my house but I didn’t need a display and needed a small device.This is just perfect for my requirements. The software gives me all the details about the Rh factor of the area where the device is kept in.
The software also provides an alert if you set a threshold level. So every time that threshold level is crossed, it will give a notification on your phone and you can take action accordingly.It also shows temperature which is an added bonus.
The device is very accurate and extremely long lasting without much need for a battery change which is fabulous.
I will stick the device behind the sofa so that it is not visible to anyone but will work as intended.
Overall, I am extremely happy with the device and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality, accurate and quality device to read the relative humidity and ambient temperature.

Tried this out and I’m really pleased with it. It doesn’t have a display, which is fine for places where you just need alerts rather than checking numbers all the time. I get notifications on my phone if the temperature or humidity goes too high, so I can deal with it straight away. Just note that you do need a hub (I bought the H200). Once set up, it works really smoothly.

The moment you switch to a network that is different from the network that the hub is connected to, the sensor will stop updating the temperature and the humidity. What even is the point of this useless device if I can’t remotely monitor the readings?

Great little device it made controlling the heater with the Tapo smart plug a breeze. Only issue is that sometimes the historical graphs are visible. Probably a bug in the app.
Also, one more thing – I wish it had an automatic routine where you could set automation actions based on temperature.

I am currently using 2 TP-Link Tapo Smart Temperature & Humidity Sensors, which come with free data storage and real-time notifications. They also include batteries and are compatible with Alexa and Google Home. Please note that a Tapo Hub is required (sold separately) for these sensors to work. Overall, I am very satisfied with their performance. They accurately measure temperature and humidity levels in my home and the notifications are very helpful in keeping track of any changes. The fact that they are compatible with smart home devices is a bonus and makes it even more convenient to use. I highly recommend these sensors to anyone looking for a reliable and user-friendly way to monitor temperature and humidity in their home and wish to automate using other Tapo devices or using Alex or Google Home to work with other vendor smart devices as well..

The temperature and humidity sensor is really accurate and the data is displayed in an easy to read graph. It is really useful in situations that require constant monitoring of temperature and humidity.
[...]The size is compact, approximately the size of half a visiting card, so it is unobtrusive. It needs Tapo hub to transmit the data. It is powered by a battery, so no problem about the powercut.

Using it for couple of months now, its accuracy is quite high. I wish it was even faster at sensing drastic temperature changes like when I take it from a Conditioned room to a unconditioned room. But I guess that’s the best any temperature sensors can do, they need to get acclimatise so it takes a bit more time to register drastic differences.
Con:
The only thing that I didn’t liked about this is the fact that you only get to see hourly temperature changes of last 24 hours but it doesn’t store hourly temperature changes of past, it only stores the max and min values.
Tapo’s smart plug already has this feature so hope it gets fixed with updates.
