   699 is very high for a filter cartridge.
   Out of curiosity I opened the old one (used 2 years, should’ve changed sooner) to see the inside. Nothing much. looks like the tiny pipes absorb the water from their outside and pass it down from inside. Is that how a filter is supposed to work? I don’t know …
