I was excited by these at first as they appeared lightweight and suitable for long term forearm crutch users. However after just one month, I have discovered that due to the low quality materials used, these crutches are useless for long term use or by overweight users as they fall apart. These users would be better served by the metal-based alternatives on the market with reinforced cuff designs.

    PROS:
    – extremely light weight
    – pleasing looking design
    – velcro strapping threaded through the cuffs is well designed

    CONS:
    – low quality materials and workmanship.
    – mine fell apart (the locking pin holding the cuff on broke in two) after just one month of full-time use (and that was partial weight bearing – I have severe arthritis from inoperable cancer).
    – the tips are terrible quality and I had to replace them on arrival as they were dangerous (shiny plastic moulding with no traction – I actually had to use a file to roughen the base to improve traction, but it wasn’t enough and I gave up at that point).
    – unsuitable for long term use (ie. long term disease rather than temporary use after an accident) as the components wear out in a fraction of the time compared to their traditional metal-based counterparts. The plastic moulding becomes detached, and the cuffs are designed with a fatal point of weakness where the stem and locking pin meet the cuff.
    – unsuitable for heavier users (80 kg+) due to the poor quality plastic frame and components.
    – unsuitable for elderly as the plastic moulding becomes very unstable and “sways” within the bracket – combined with the light weight frame, this would be insufficiently stable for this user group.
    – the cuffs are so poorly designed at the stem that I ended up supergluing mine into a fixed “down” position to improve stability, which totally negated the rotational flexibility that I originally purchased them for.

    COMMENT:
    – the fact that my crutches were shipped from the “Returns” Department of this manufacturer should have been a clue to the workmanship. I do not recommend them as the money saved on the purchase is negated by having to replace them with a different brand just one month later.

    PHOTOS:

1 – showing the cuffs, the red circle shows a homemade locking pin after the original snapped. The other cuff has an intact locking pin but I have superglued it to add temporary stability. Both cuffs are superglued into a fixed “down” position to improve stability until I can replace them with another manufacturer’s product.
2 and 3 – showing the small, poor quality crutch tips with low traction (plastic rather than rubber)

This is the 5th one I have bought !!!
    Yes, exactly. 5th !
1st pair I bought in 2017, when I had a bike accident and broke my ankle and heel. I didn’t by that online, but searched around all the local stores, till I came across this one and not once did I regret my choice. Even my doctor was very impressed.
The 2nd pair I bought around last week, from Amazon (can be checked from my purchase history) for my daughter who has a ligament tear (ankle) and foot is in plaster. Actually bought one, but then realized, she needs two, so ordered one the same day (and got it the next day. Actually, my organisation hospital gave me a similar one on loan, but it was way too heavy and even look wise, it was not good. And she is loving it (and she says her friends were like “wow, this is so cool !)
Then this one I bought a couple of days back for my mom, who injured her foot. Actually she has had both her knees replaced and as per the doctor’s advice has been using a walking stick for the last 10-15 years. But I realized, that the typical walking stick (the one like an inverted hockey stick) isn’t giving her the support she needs, especially as there is no support for her forearm.
Sent it to her address, but was very apprehensive, that at her age (83), she may not at all like to change her öld faithful”of 15 years. But today when I called her, she started by praising this and was all gaga over it.
The point I am trying to make, that for 3 different people , of 3 different ages, it has really been liked and proven it’s worth.
    Pros :
    1. Much better than the typical crutch with the V design.
    2. Light weight.
    3, Fully adjustable.
    4. A contemporary and vibrant look.
    5. Cheap : yes, much cheaper than all options available.
    cons :
    None

Stick built quality is good. Grip on ground is also good. look is trendy. It’s 2 way height adjustable. light weight so easy to carry, price is also not much high. In short value for money product. definitely buy who has broken leg or fracture leg or who need a support for normal walk.
