This is incredible vue for money, but if you want the absolute sturdiest, most heat-conducting and highest quality stainless steel utensil, you would have to shell out five times what this steamer’s worth.
But at 1,000 rupees, compromises had to be made with the product.
I would advise you to pick up the smaller or mid-size version if you don’t steam food much, you’d be wasting a ton of water woth the largest size vessel. You can’t really save water with this product whether you want to or not, because the corners cut in manufacturing show very clearly.
The irregular hotspots in the pan show up as heat blisters in the first image, and that’s unavoidable unless you use way more water than you think you need. It could cause the pan to basically suck after a couple of years, but that’s what you get for 1,000 bucks (largest size).
And that’s not a terrible thing, really. For what it’s worth, it’s amazing that stainless steel ccokware can get this cheap and still give you so much. So for easy meal prep, this is the product for you.

Steamed momos in this, very easy to use, durable stuff, 24 size accommodated about 10 large size momos, can steam vegetables in it too so it’s versatile, glass lid is convenient, lid fits perfectly, all in all a good purchase

Steam formation starts swiftly, steam-leakage is minimal, handles remain cool thru-out.
[...]But from a BRAND NAME steamer costing 1500 INR we expect something more !
Like aesthetics, safety, convenience, life… which are completely missing.
* Handles aren’t horizontal, not even symmetrical, blind persons would do a neater job.
* The spot-welds do not look consistent, they will fail some day causing injury or burns.
* Both vessels are flimsy thin. Atleast top vessel should be thicker to resist dents & warpage.
* Lid knob is more cylindrical than knobby. It is bound to slip & break some day.
* The 24cm Vinod steamer lid will NOT fit 24cm Vinod Kadhai and vice-versa.
* Steamer handles are ABOVE water-level and could have been riveted. OTOH, rivets in a kadhai get in the way of stirring and washing, so spot-welds are preferred. But Vinod designers are from pakistan.
