Quick update on this – the replacement works well and has been for a while. Surprisingly does not require a fresh setup in a new location. Exactly timed to just under 3 months, this strip stopped working entirely. No power, no wifi nothing, dead. On calling customer care (several disconnects, a complaint lodged but no record or acknowledgment of said complaint. They will revert in 5-7 working days with the location of a service centre. Given poor performance and durability, this is a waste of money and would not recommend buying.
[...]Update: surprisingly there was a no question replacement. Call centre called someone who set up a collection and in a week a replacement unit was in.

From a top Indian company like Wipro, you would expect good customer service and quality checks. The company seems to have failed in both with a customer service yet to request a call for a feature support and spelling mistake in ‘confirm’ button when selecting scheduling option. Product features are well incorporated to with trigger based functions, random, circulate and inching functions available in it. The seller of this product sent me preopened packages and something which Wipro needs to be aware of. They can get bad reviews for a very decent product due to such sellers.

I purchased this to auto switch on my chargers at fixed schedule. It worked well for about 35 days. After that it went offline and never came alive. It’s power/reset button also doesn’t do anything. Wipro has no service centers, only dealers who handle these problems. And we have to take it to them for verification.
I’ll update after going through this process. BTW, Wipro doesn’t have any complaint registration module and they say that someone will continue within 5-7 days to tell dealer’s address.
Also, Wipro is not creating anything in India, it appears. Their software solution uses Chinese SmartHome servers which many unknown vendors are also using. That’s why you can add all SmartHome devices to Wipro app and vice-versa.
Edit : wipro has designated a specific person for each zone of India. Once you call their customer care number, they will give you the number of that specific person. It takes about 7 days to reveal that person’s number. Then that person talks to you. If he understands that pick up the faulty product is needed, he will arrange the pick up. It will take another 20 days because delhivery courier is very bad. Then again, it will take 5 to 7 days to check the product and then to ship the replacement. The delivery will again take 2 to 3 days. So you are going to lose about 40 days for this whole process.

I bought this for TV automation.
I plugged in the Alexa echo, TV , speaker, jio STB etc..
So just by a voice command the TV will switch ON. So it serves the purpose finely.
This box listen only to 2.4Ghz and Wipro smart* app need to be installed to do reset or reconfigure if u change WIFI password etc..
Its been more than 6 months, like every other electronic devices , sometime it goes unresponsive. A simple power on/off will make it works.
So far no issues.

⚠️ Note to Buyers
Please be aware that this is a white-labeled Chinese product. However, it has proven to be reliable and sturdy, so I personally don’t find this to be a concern.
1. Individual Port Control
All four ports can be controlled independently. The entire device can also be switched off at once, offering flexible control.
2. Power State Retention
The device does not retain its previous state after a power cycle. For example, if ports 2 and 4 were turned off before a power outage, all ports will power on once power is restored.
3. Heating Issue
The area where the power cable connects heats up noticeably, likely due to the control module. The exact power consumption of the module(residual power consumption) remains unclear.
4. Build Quality
The build quality is decent and appears to be durable.
5. Cable Length
The cable length is sufficient and convenient for everyday use.
6. User Manual
The included manual is clear and easy to follow, making setup straightforward.
7. Google Home Integration
After a power reset, the device reconnects quickly within the Google Home app.
8. Smart Assistant Compatibility
Works seamlessly with Google Home. Amazon Alexa compatibility has not been tested personally.
9. UPS Compatibility
If you have a home UPS, this device is quite useful. Otherwise, after a power outage, all connected devices will automatically power on when electricity returns.
10. Internet Dependency
The device requires an active internet connection to function. If the internet is down, none of the smart features will work. In such cases, pressing the red button off and on will manually power up all ports.
🔧 Durability Update
After 3 years of continuous use, the device is still performing well. Control via Google Home and the Wipro Next Smart Home app remains reliable. Remote access over the internet works smoothly. Overall, a solid and worthwhile purchase.
🔐 Security Concern
While adding the “Wipro Smart Extension” to Google Home, the authentication process redirects to a third-party website (pxy1.tuyaus.com), which appears to be Chinese. This raises potential concerns about data privacy and security.
