Bought this IFB washing machine few months back thinking it would be a solid upgrade, but honestly, it’s too sensitive for our typical Indian household setup. Even the slightest voltage fluctuation and the machine just refuses to work. Had to buy a separate voltage stabilizer just to get it running properly – which no one told us about before buying.
Spoke to the service guy and he straight up said that almost every customer he visits ends up needing a stabilizer. That’s kinda frustrating.
Cleaning is okay-ish. Nothing too great. Sometimes I feel the clothes could’ve been washed better. Also, it takes a lot of time for one cycle – too long if you’re in a hurry or have a big family.
Overall, not very satisfied. It’s picky, time-consuming, and needs extra stuff just to function normally. Not really built keeping Indian conditions in mind.

The washing machine itself performs well and meets expectations in terms of functionality. However, the installation experience was disappointing and left us feeling misled.
During installation, the service technician insisted on installing additional filters and selling a machine cleaning liquid at an extra cost of ₹7,550. We were not adequately informed or aware that these were optional, and felt pressured into purchasing them. Our area has soft water, so the need for such an extensive filtration setup—one that’s nearly 1.5 feet long—seems unnecessary. If the machine is designed to work with soft water, why does it require such modifications? This raises concerns about the engineering and design of the machine.
Moreover, we already own another IFB washing machine and had existing machine cleaning liquid. Despite informing the technician of this, we were told that this new model requires a different liquid. Is this truly the case, or just a tactic to sell more products?
We’ve attached a photo to show how the installation was done, which may help others make an informed decision.
While we’re happy with the machine’s performance so far, IFB should be more transparent during installation and ensure customers are not misled into purchasing unnecessary add-ons.
