   First thing first. There are no lid, wooden spatula and the round nylon scrubber that you usually get with non stick cookwares. I had earlier bought Pigeon kadai on Amazon.in http://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B00F2F7FQA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s01
   and its lid is a perfect fit for the fry pan.

   Nowadays we read “3 layer non-stick coating” in the specifications of some non-stick cookwares. However this fry pan has no such mention of three layer non-stick coating. So, i don’t know how long the non-stick coating would last.

   The size of the fry pan is just right for me. It is neither too large nor too small. Also i like the unusual shape. Normally fry pans have equal proportion from top to bottom. But this one has wide top and narrow base which makes it look like a mini kadhai. See the attached pictures.
   Since it has induction base, it can save you from emergency such as when you run out of gas unexpectedly with no backup of gas.

   Note: Conditions apply! Just buying an induction base fry pan will not save you from emergency when you run out of gas IF YOU DON’T HAVE INDUCTION STOVE. LoL.

   There were time when i was making chapati on gas stove and gas suddenly ran out after i had cooked a few chapatis and there were still a few left to cook. Since i didn’t have induction base fry pan or tava, i could not use my induction stove and had to leave cooking mid way!

   So, I strongly recommend that you buy induction base fry pan instead of regular gas stove non-stick one as you can use it on both gas stove and on induction stove. Also price is also affordable. If i had bought it in a shop, they would have given me just Rs 20 discount from MRP. Its MRP is Rs 845. I like the slim handle. It’s not like thick handle of Prestige Omega fry pans.

   Many people mistakenly use non -stick fry pan as tava. They cook chapati without oil and cause warping of non-stick coating . Always use some oil. Dry heating will damage non stick coating. I am single and using it to cook south Indian dishes like upma, kesari badh, fried rice, chowmein, toast bread, make sandwiches, and kheer. You can also cook pizza. Watch youtube video on cooking pizza on fry pan. It’s possible.

   Great packaging & on time delivery is taken for granted – from Amazon .

   The product I received was defect-free , however the Dia of the Frying Pan is NOT 240 mm , its smaller than that by 5-6 mm .
   We have a PRESTIGE 240mm Frying Pan ( non-stick layer had peeled off at places – over time , that’s why I looked for a substitute ) , well this pan from PIGEON is good 5-6mm smaller in dia , and about 1mm shorter in height . Its not heavy as the PRESTIGE , and the handle is smaller too.

   In short, when kept side-by-side , PIGEON pan is a little dwarfed version of its PRESTIGE counterpart .
   And also, the HEAT-UP time is more than PRESTIGE … meaning more energy consumption ( either on burner / induction cooktop ) .

   The only thing superb is its Non-stick Coating quality . Someone said it right – water ( or oil ) on the pan “rolls like mercury”.
   GREBLON coating on all Pigeon product is far superior than any other similar products we have tried .
   Metal-Spoon friendly is also a huge added bonus .

   Summary – definitely recommended ( for the price ) , though EXPECT to receive a smaller-than-described product , which consumes a bit more energy to heat up .

   Sturdy heavy base.coating is not as good as wonderchef but worth money. Size apt enough to do regular cooking… I use mostly for breakfast.. only problem is eggs runs towards edges so sunny side eggs with perfect round shape is difficult but omlette pancakes cheela are perfect…. Hvnt cooked dosa on it …

   Overall product is a good buy…I liked the red color

   I am writing this after two years. The product arrived damage with a side bent. I requested for return but then thought against it as it is such a cumbersome process. Apart from it.. the pan works great, and is still in working condition. Thankfully it was only the top that was bent at a place, otherwise it would not have worked perfectly

   it’s not a good non stick pan. It’s layers going to be removes itself I’m happy with it when I bought that but now I can see it’s not good non stock pan. Although they said it’s metal friendly but I don’t think that.

   This review is written After a month’s usage. Feeling rejoiced by ordering this on Amazon. Got it for a cheaper price ( thanks to Amazon.in), buy worth pretty much more than that.
   It’s an amazing product from stovecraft. Cooks fastand less oily and no burning…
   Only con I observed is its little bit smaller in diameter, but that’s not a big problem.
   Just go for it, dear friends..
