Bought this charger on 10th April.

It’s feels good and looks good. iit’s a long and strong cable. (I bought the 2 mtr cable)
No heating issue, fits well with 2 different chargers and 3 differnt phones.
Just that this is NOT a fast charging cable.
I use it with a original Samsung travel adapter and it chargers slower than it’s original cable.

In all my life of purchasing ANYTHING online, ON ANY WEBSITE, THIS however, had NEVER happened to me before!
There was NO Amazon outer packaging tp speak of, whether brown carboard/white polythene. The product was delivered DIRECTLY with its own box-cover. With address label directly slapped on the product cover itself!
What’s more?
Even THAT cover was UNSEALED.
What’s worse?
Even THAT, UNSEALED cover was already crumpled.
What’s the worst?
Not just crumpled but TORN apart (see pictures.)
Hence, I have no idea what to EXPECT from this cable.
Perhaps it’s a recent “portronics” issue, because a portronics wireless mouse I bought in the same order, came with similar, unsealed, opened packaging, though at least the outer, Amazon packaging in that case was available – not to mention remaining intact. And the mouse box certainly wasn’t torn apart.
Now, about this cable itself…
It’s a sleeved cable, with long, bend-proof rubber (plastic?) coverings on both ends. Proportion-wise, that bend-proof portion certainly looks longer than on most other cables of any such sort. (I ordered the white version, to match with white charger, by the way.) Overall, It looks like the cable could tolerate pretty rough handling. Will not snap or malfunction if the phone or any charging appliance suddenly falls from a high perch, straining it to the max. Although I do handle my electronics – even my cables, with extreme care.
I haven’t tried strangling someone with it (and I suggest you don’t try that either – with anything! Certainly not with offensive intent!) But it seems like it could do the job in a jiffy, should someone tries to rob you of your phone while you’re charging it with this cable.
The same, however, cannot be said of its ports.
Both male USB A and USB C ports of it seem unusually tighter when plugged into female ports of respective sorts. In both new chargers and old computers. I needed a surprising amount of force to pull it apart from the old, trusty samsung charger that came with the phone.
On that topic, yes, the cable worked flawlessly with Samsung PPS charger. Even if the ports are unusually tight.
Perhaps the increased cost of making a sturdy cable resulted in cost-cuttimg of USB port-quality? Who knows.
I’m concerned that it’d damage my phone or charging appliances . Time will tell if it becomes a snug, but snapping affair of pulling apart, or remains uncomfortably tight.
The length is adequate for my use cases. And it’s largely tangle-free.
Haven’t checked data transfer speeds for large files but I’m assuming they’d turn out just fine. Either way, I don’t particularly about that. The cable is mainly ordered for charging purposes.
So, final, recommendation?
It’s good, but for maximum peace of mind, try to source it locally, if you can.
